Dodgers News: Maeda Will Return Sunday, Kershaw Goes on Memorial Day
The Dodgers will be getting back one of their starting pitchers this weekend for the series against Pittsburgh. Kenta Maeda will come off of the injured list to make his start, just 11 days after being pulled for fouling a ball off of his leg.
Dave Roberts said Kenta Maeda will start in Pittsburgh on Sunday, the first day he’s eligible to come off the IL. Clayton Kershaw will start Monday in LA against the Mets. Maeda threw a 50-pitch bullpen today.

Maeda came out of his last start early on May 15th, and it was later revealed that he had some discomfort from a foul ball. He was placed on the IL with a left adductor strain as a result.
Maeda was dealing in that last start, tossing 6.2 innings of scoreless ball and striking out 12 Padres. That start marked back-to-back appearances without allowing an earned run and extended his scoreless streak to 14.2 innings.
Maeda got a bullpen session in on Wednesday ahead of the Dodgers’ game in Tampa Bay.

Maeda’s start will push Clayton Kershaw back one day, so he gets a Memorial Day start at Dodger Stadium on Monday.
Brook,
Why don’t you respond to legitimate questions, such as the one I sent yesterday at the end of your article?
