Dodgers News: Miguel Rojas Exits Wednesday’s Game Against Giants With Apparent Leg Issue

Dodgers starting shortstop Miguel Rojas left Wednesday’s game with an apparent leg issue. Rojas got an infield single off the leg of Giants starting pitcher Alex Cobb, and came up gimpy as he got to first base. It initially appeared to just be a cramp, however, Rojas continued to struggle, and was ultimately taken out of the ball game.

Rojas was grabbing his left leg, and appeared to be trying to stretch it out. He was drinking water and stretching, however, he wasn’t able to make it feel better, and was taken out of the game.

Chris Taylor came in to replace him, and will take over at shortstop for the remainder of this game.

Rojas has been dealing with a groin injury over the last week or so, but this didn’t appear to have any correlation to that. Instead, it appeared to be something in the hamstring area.

We’ll continue to update you when we know more, but for now, Rojas’ night is done.

UPDATE:

The Dodgers announced via Twitter that Miguel Rojas left Wednesday’s game with a left hamstring cramp.
