Dodgers Notes: Disappointing Kiké Hernandez Update, Nolan Arenado Trade Rumors, Gavin Lux Breaks Silence

Dodger fans also got an update to the long-desired Nolan Arenado trade. Dodgers Nation’s Doug McKain interviewed ESPN’s Buster Olney regarding the veteran infielder, and Olney revealed what he’s heard from a source regarding a potential deal.

In other news, Gavin Lux thanked Dodgers fans, staff, and his teammates in a heartfelt goodbye to the organization. He looks to start a new chapter of his career with the Cincinnati Reds.

Additionally, Dave Roberts recently received a text from a rival NL West manager after the Dodgers signed Roki Sasaki. Despite the length, it showed the frustration and a little fear for the season to come.

  1. Well, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register, you state there is no room for Kike Hernandez. Open your eyes, DFA Chris Taylor. Since he signed that 4 year contract 3 years ago he has stopped hitting. Heck, if his swing got any longer and loopier he could maybe reach you in O.C. The Dodgers have eaten alot of salary over the years and Kike makes alot more sense than Taylor.

    1. I totally agree. Taylor has been a bust since signing that contract. I keep hoping AF will eat some money and find a trade for Taylor. Taylor is owed $17M with his $13M salary this year and $4M buyout on club option for next year. AF could eat $12M in a trade of Taylor, and then sign Kike for $5M and the money would be a wash.
