Dodgers Notes: LA Hints at Roster Move, Roki Sasaki Bounces Back, NL West Rival Owner Calls Out Spending
Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Matt Sauer is with the team in Philadelphia. Sauer’s arrival from Triple-A Oklahoma City was to provide reinforcements to the bullpen in case Roki Sasaki had another short outing. However, the rookie right-hander went four-plus innings and did not overtax the bullpen Saturday.
The Dodgers do not plan to activate Sauer.
The Dodgers earned a 3-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies Saturday with Roki Sasaki on the mound. The right-hander had an impressive four-plus inning performance, retiring 12 of 17 batters he faced.
The defending champions continued to be criticized for their lucrative spending, this time by an NL West rival owner.
