Dodgers Notes: Tyler Glasnow Injured, Blake Snell Injection, Roki Sasaki Wants More Velocity

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates, 9-2, to take the series and improved to 18-10 on the year.

Unfortunately, the Dodgers did so with just one inning pitched from Tyler Glasnow after he left the game with an apparent injury. The team later announced that shoulder discomfort was the reason the All-Star had a second consecutive injury-related exit to one of his starts.

In more pitching injury news, Blake Snell took an injection to help his left shoulder inflammation. The two-time Cy Young award winner has been out for most of the month, but a recent MRI had manager Dave Roberts claiming that the All-Star ‘dodged a bullet.’

Finally, Roki Sasaki spoke on his desire to get his velocity up in his pitches. The young right-hander had recently seen his velocity drop, but his most recent outing saw his average pitch speed back up to his own high standards.
