Dodgers Postgame: James Outman, Max Muncy Homer LA to Victory Over A’s

Max Muncy’s two-run home run in the bottom of the fourth proved to be all the insurance the Los Angeles Dodgers needed in a 4-2 win over the Oakland Athletics at Camelback Ranch on Sunday afternoon.

With the win, the Dodgers unbeaten in Cactus League play with a record of 3-0-1.



James Outman got the Dodgers on the board and out to an early lead in the second inning with a solo home run.

The final run of the game was off the bat of Travis Swaggerty, who singled in Drew Avans. Swaggerty was a first round of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2018 and signed a minor league contract with the Dodgers in December 2023. Avans was drafted by the Dodgers in 2018 and has spent his entire career in the farm system.

Kyle Hurt was impressive in his start, only allowing a walk and a hit in his inning of work. Evan Phillips was credited with the win after pitching a scoreless second inning.

The most impressive outing belonged to Ryan Brasier, who struck out the side in his first Cactus League inning.

Kevin Padlo is still on a spring training tear, finishing 1-for-1 with a walk. His OPS is a whopping 1.389.

Up next for the Dodgers are the Colorado Rockies at Salt River Fields on Monday at 12:10 p.m. PT.
