Dodgers Put at Huge Disadvantage Moving Forward Due to Cleveland Grounds Crew
What the heck is going on in Cleveland?
For the second straight day, the grounds crew in Cleveland decided to prematurely put the tarp on the field and stop the game, well before a drop of rain even fell from the sky.
While Wednesday’s game had to be suspended and ultimately picked up this morning, they now stopped the picked up game again in the top of the ninth inning with no rain in the sky and the Dodgers leading 6-1.
If they just finished this game up, they could have taken their mandatory 30-minute break in between games while the rain was falling, and picked back up for the series finale which was initially supposed to start this morning but was pushed back due to this game needing to be completed.
Instead, the teams will now be taking a break for the rain that is yet to fall, then will have to finish the first game of the series, then will have to take a 30-minute break and then will have to play the second game of the series in its entirety — hopefully with no rain stoppages.
After all that, the Dodgers will have to travel to Boston for their next series which starts tomorrow.
This is an absolute joke
