Dodgers Fans React to Shohei Ohtani’s Unfortunate Injury News

The MLB world was dealt devastating injury news late Wednesday night when Angels general manager Perry Minasian announced that two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani had a torn UCL that would end his season as a pitcher.

It’s unclear how severe the injury is, but the Angels will put Ohtani through tons of testing before deciding the next steps for their superstar.

If the injury is severe, he could be looking at his second Tommy John Surgery, and likely won’t pitch again until 2025 (or at all if he decides to remove that part of his game).

If the injury is less severe, he could be pitching again as soon as next season.

Either way, this is a devastating blow to Ohtani, especially with his free agency just months away.

Dodgers fans took to social media to react to this unfortunate injury news surrounding the face of baseball.

Many fans immediately wondered what this means for the Dodgers potentially adding him this offseason.

One fan thinks this makes Julio Urias returning much more likely.

Hopefully Ohtani can get back to being the player he was pre-injury, because he was truly in the midst of baseball’s greatest season ever.
