Dodgers Reportedly ‘Very Close’ to Bringing Back Joe Kelly
It looks like the Dodgers may have made another signing this offseason! They are reportedly “very close”.to bringing back reliever Joe Kelly to the team, marking another reunion this offseason. MLB insider Robert Murray was the first to break the news.
The Dodgers had an interest in bringing Kelly back this offseason, despite declining his club option for next season. The veteran reliever gives them a trusted member in the bullpen, and manager Dave Roberts is a big fan of his.

After being acquired by the Dodgers at the trade deadline, Kelly was very solid with the team. In 11 games with LA, he posted an ERA of 1.74 as a middle reliever. He did suffer some injuries while with the team, but the Dodgers must feel confident enough that he can overcome them this coming season.
Kelly is loved by the fans in Los Angeles as well, so the fanbase will be very happy with this move. He was a big part of their 2020 championship team, and he brings major baseball experience to the table.
With this move, the Dodgers will need to drop someone from their 40-man roster. It is currently full, and we should see a few moves happening like this in the coming days.
This is a great signing by the Dodgers, and Kelly should help them have a dominant bullpen once again. Welcome back to the team Joe!
