As we’ve learned over the last couple of years, there aren’t very many people that are bigger Dodgers fans than Rob Lowe. And we REALLY know that perhaps no one in the world hates the Houston Astros more than he does.
Lowe got the chance to go off on the Astros on Pardon My Take this past week, and he talked about the cheating scandal. The esteemed actor also talked about the career of Clayton Kershaw and how he got the worst of it.
Speaking of Clayton Kershaw, he’s the one who really got roasted. I mean that guy, you go and look at those Astro home games and he got lit up like it was batting practice, and it turns out it was that, batting practice.
Lowe is certainly correct in saying that Kershaw’s splits were perhaps the most obvious sign of the Astros cheating against the Dodgers. In two games at Dodger Stadium, Kershaw pitched 11 innings and only allowed one run with 15 strikeouts. In his lone appearance at Minute Maid Park, Kershaw allowed 6 runs in 4.2 innings striking out just 2 batters.
Lowe goes on to talk about the World Series, and whether or not the Dodgers should be awarded the 2017 title.
No I don’t think we should do that. I literally think, hence the asterisk, it’s like. You know I love Barry Bonds and I don’t want to drag him right now because he’s a really good dude…but there’s sort of a perceived asterisk around some of that stuff…
Agreed, the Dodgers do not need to be awarded a title that they did not win, regardless of how badly that they were cheated. As long as that asterisk always exists in the record books, that would be enough for me. Check out the whole interview as Lowe talks about his encounter with Jose Altuve and selling Houston Asterisk hats.
