Dodgers Rumors: Making Trade Packages with the Chicago White Sox for Doomed Stars

The MLB trade deadline is rapidly approaching. In just three weeks, all the chaos will have come and gone, and many of the top contenders will look much different as we head into the home stretch of the season.

The Dodgers are sure to be in the mix of teams making big moves, as they have a rash of injuries and tons of needs in their starting rotation and bullpen.

One of the teams who seems most likely to become sellers is the Chicago White Sox, who have a slew of names being dangled as potential top trade targets.

Starting pitchers Lucas Giolito and Dylan Cease, bullpen pieces Kendall Graveman and Joe Kelly and shortstop Tim Anderson are among the many players that could be on the move in the next few weeks.

The Dodgers could get upgrades from just about any of those players, which is why our very own Doug McKain broke down tons of potential trade LA could make with Chicago to turn this team into a true World Series favorite.

Who do you think the Dodgers should target at the trade deadline? Do you think they should make one of these moves with the White Sox?

  1. so, the dodgers are hoping to acquire five players from the white sox. that’s just what they need — 5 players from a team that can not compete in the weakest division in baseball.

  2. Tim Anderson?! So he can get hurt and join the other 79 thousand player’s on the IR?! LOL…. NO THX! Kelly… Sure, but would be slight upgrade over Almonte or other non- miller/Philips/Bazooka relievers. Be nice to c him too tho. The starter guy…. Yeah, that’ll fit! Not for top 4 chips tho! Rushing, Cartaya or miller, pep or stone!

  3. Leave SS alone; its D is in good shape and there has been some timely hitting by Rojas and I think trading away farm talent just to gain 20-30 points batting not worth it. Also, Rojas is a good team guy.
re: pitching, (I don’t know these guys except for Kelly) we do need some help so “thoughtful” consideration of what they offer could be beneficial.
