Dodgers Schedule: LA Begins 7 Game Homestand Against Giants, Rockies

The Dodgers are back home and, despite a heartbreaking loss in Sunday’s finale in Colorado, are primed to retake the top spot in the NL West. Starting today, the Dodgers (58-36) welcome the San Francisco Giants (58-34) to Dodger Stadium for a 4 game series featuring the two best teams in the National League. 

Matchups

  • Monday, July 19: Kevin Gausman (9-3, 1.73 ERA) vs Tony Gonsolin (1-0, 2.13 ERA)
  • Tuesday, July 20: Alex Wood (8-3, 3.67 ERA) vs TBD
  • Wednesday, July 21: Ryan Webb (4-3, 3.54 ERA) vs Julio Urias (12-3, 3.78 ERA)
  • Thursday, July 22: Anthony DeSclafani 10-4, 2.78 ERA) vs Walker Buehler (10-1, 2.37 ERA)

This will be the final time the Giants visit Los Angeles in the regular season.

Beyond the NL West implications, this homestand features several great giveaways and promotions as well.

Monday night is Walker Buehler bobblehead giveaway night. Wednesday night is Star Wars night and features a special Orel-Wan Kenobi bobblehead for fans with special ticket packs. And for Thursday’s finale with San Francisco, the team is giving away a short-sleeved hooded shirt.

Starting Friday, the Rockies come to Dodger Stadium for a weekend series that kicks off with Friday Night Fireworks and wraps with a 40th anniversary celebration of the 1981 Dodgers World Series champion team.

  1. In this final series w/ the Giants @ home, the Dodgers must take the series. The Dodgers must take a look @ the number 42 up on the facade and reflect on how Jackie Robinson would play in this series. Who would be inspired to play lights out and high energy baseball wearing the same uniform Jackie wore proudly. Come on guys….get real!

  2. be nice to win 3 out of 4. But there’s plenty of time in the season to catch these guys.

    1. No the time is now. More than half the season gone by already and still in 2nd w/ the Giants not letting up even w/ their injuries. You know Zaidi and Preller of the Pads will be aggressive by the trade deadline, so whenever you have the chance to take it you must get it done. You don’t want to just catch them, you need to take over and control your own destiny. Being the no. 1 seed is the utmost goal.
