Dodgers Set Rotation For First Home Series Against Cardinals
The Los Angeles Dodgers will continue the regular season on Thursday when they take on the St. Louis Cardinals for their domestic Opening Day. The Boys in Bue will look to start the season strong, and all eyes will be on their rotation.
The Dodgers built their strong rotation this past offseason, and we will finally see it on display this upcoming week. While we know who will be the game-one starter to start the season, but we have wondered who will follow Tyler Glasnow‘s lead. Well, the wait is over.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts confirmed the rotation to open the season. SportsNet LA reporter Kirsten Watson shared via X.
Although Glasnow and Yoshinobu Yamamoto were the first two starters in the Seoul Series last week, Roberts is taking a different approach. Instead of Yamamoto starting game two, he will start game three, with Dodgers sophomore pitcher Bobby Miller taking the reigns in game two.
Following Yamamoto in game three, 26-year-old Gavin Stone will start game four, and James Paxton will do his best to hold things down in game five. The Dodgers will begin their first home stand against the St Louis Cardinals for a four-game series.
Following the Cardinals series, the Dodgers will host their biggest rivals, the San Francisco Giants, where we will see Paxton for the first time. While we look forward to this five-man rotation shine, all eyes will be on the 25-year-old rookie from Japan.
His last outing, which happened to be his major league debut, was not pretty. Yamamoto will look to redeem himself against the Cardinals, and Dodger fans are hoping for the same. Opening Day is on Thursday at Dodger Stadium.
