Dodgers Spirit: Top Tweets Celebrating the Dodgers in First Place
The Dodgers have finally done it; they have finally seized first place! On Tuesday, the boys in blue defeated the Phillies 15-5 led by Chase Utley who homered twice! Just as important, the Pirates defeated the Giants 4-3, putting the Dodgers alone in first place for the first time since May 10th! As you can imagine, Twitter absolutely exploded with Dodger fans feeling every emotion in the book!
This is how we celebrated here at Dodgers Nation:

First. Place. Sole possession. I feel nothing but pure joy right now. To anyone who says baseball is just a game, you obviously have no idea

The season is far from over. There are still 44 games of baseball left to play, 9 of which are against the San Francisco Giants; however, this is a big milestone for the Dodgers. The boys in blue have had a season full of misfortune, yet have managed to keep on fighting. The job isn’t done yet, but this team has proven that they are more than just an underdog team. They are a first place team.
