Dodgers Stars Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy Victims of House Burglary

A couple Dodgers stars have been dealing with some unfortunate off the field news as of late. TMZ Sports reported that both Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy have had their homes broken into within the last month.

In the Muncy case, authorities tell us the infielder was with his family on the way home from a game at Dodger Stadium earlier this month when his alarm company alerted him that thieves had broken into his place.

The burglars were seen on video ransacking through the place but they took off before law enforcement arrived.

It is unclear what was taken from this incident.

Any home break-in is scary especially when someone else you know also recently had a home burglary. Freddie Freeman had a similar incident happen back in July.

Law enforcement is currently investigating both matters — especially if they are related and possibly targeting athletes, or just random break-ins.

Both players are married with children so any situation like this is very impactful towards the family feeling safe. The small bright side to the break-ins is that no family members were home at the time of the break-in, thankfully.

However, it seems that the off-the-field incidents have not had any impact on their personal production on the field.

Muncy has started nearly every game for the Dodgers this week bringing his home run-hitting bat and good defense from the hot corner while Freddie Freeman has been one of, if not, the best hitter in baseball.

Freeman in July and August combined has hit a .357 average with an even more impressive 1.060 OPS. Tallying 17 doubles, 9 home runs, and 30 RBIs.

Hopefully, both players feel safer as time goes on, and a positive outcome to the investigation comes to fruition.
