Spring Training is just over a month away and Dodgers fans can’t wait to see their favorite team back on the field. Fans get to wait around but the work has already begun for the team.
While there’s still time for Dave Roberts to figure out his lineup, training slowly begins with players slowly coming back from injuries and the team slowly finding out what the team is lacking. Until then, players make their way back to Dodgers Stadium.
Among them include Trayce Thompson who is destined to take on an expanded role for the 2023 season. The journey that Thompson has taken so far, one that was not supposed to keep him on the Dodgers roster for this long, is one any fan can respect.
A name many fans are going to keep an eye on is Gavin Lux. Despite the team singing Miguel Rojas, a guy many fans expect to take the starting shortstop position, Lux has some serious competition after being the clear option to take the spot.
Trea Turner being gone from the team becomes a huge hole to fill, but perhaps the added stress of filling the void is exactly what Lux will need to propel into a superstar.
It isn’t going to be all sunshine and rainbows for the team. A term Chris Taylor is all too familiar with after an injury riddled season. With a whole off-season under his belt and getting healthier by the day hopefully his down season becomes a thing of the past.
Dodgers will continue to give the fans a sneak peak of what can be expected heading into the season. Who’s ready for some Dodgers baseball?
