Dodgers: Vin Scully Released From Hospital, Issues Statement to Fans
Finally some good news for Dodgers fans! In the midst of so much bad news and sadness, Vin Scully sends us a positive message of hope.
Earlier this week when it was announced that the Dodgers legendary broadcaster Vin Scully had been rushed to the hospital after a fall, the collective hearts of Los Angeles dropped.
Thankfully, in the most Vinny way, Mr. Scully let us know that he would be fine through a message from the Dodgers.
I won’t be doing anymore headfirst sliding, I never liked it.
Soon after, the SportsNet LA broadcast team including Orel Hershiser and Alanna Rizzo sent well wishes along to the icon.

Now, late on Saturday thankfully we can all exhale. Moreover, Dodgers beat writer Ken Gurnick announced that Scully had been released from the hospital and is home.

Additionally, Vin had some people to thank for their efforts to get him back home.
…”I am so eternally grateful for their help and selfless service. I’m home resting comfortably with my wife and we are both eagerly awaiting the Time for Dodger Baseball!”

The 92-year-old Scully was the voice of the Dodgers for an unmatched 67 years. Coming from Brooklyn with the club in 1958, Vinny became the voice of summer for many Angelenos of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds.
Much like with former Dodger manager Tommy Lasorda, none of us will ever be ready to live in a world without Vincent Edward Scully, so please, Vin… be careful!
