Dodgers Vs. Cubs: The Best Moments From Game 3 Of The NLCS
The Dodgers defeated the Cubs in Game 3 of the NLCS with a final score of 6-1. The game was awesome for Dodger fans since there were so many memorable moments. From Yu Darvish psyching out Carl Edwards Jr. to Javier Baez wagging his finger in Puig’s face, let’s break them all down!
The first mention has to go to the Cubs bullpen and their dance moves after Kyle Schwarber’s home run. The homer came in the first inning and would be Chicago’s only run in Game 3. I hope they enjoyed their small window of happiness!
The next shoutout has to go to Yu Darvish and his Jedi mind tricks over Carl Edwards Jr. The Dodgers loaded the bases in the top of the 6th inning and Dave Roberts decided to let Yu Darvish bat instead of bringing in a pinch-hitter. This decision confused all of Twitter, but the move resulted in a four-pitch walk for Darvish and a run batted in!
Check out the video of Yu Darvish crowding the plate and showing bunt to psyche out Edwards Jr. Below!
Now you didn’t think we could talk about the best moments in a Dodgers game and not include Yasiel Puig, did you? In the top of the 9th inning, Puig hit an absolute rocket to left-center field. Unfortunately, a nice play made up of a Schwarber throw and a Baez tag resulted in a Puig out at second base.
What was so great about this play is the fact that, after Puig was tagged out, Baez wagged his finger in front of the Wild Horse’s face. I noticed fans on Twitter calling it disrespectful and jumping on Baez, but it’s clear from the video that Yasiel Puig is in on the joke. Plus, if you defend Puig and his style of play then you have to be okay when other players want to have a little bit of fun. Also, check out Puig showing the camera his tongue after the play was over!
The game was a joy to watch and here’s hoping that Game 4 is even better. The Dodgers will go for the sweep at 6:01 p.m. PT. All they need is one win now to secure their spot in the World Series, so you won’t want to miss it! As always, follow us on Twitter @DodgersNation for play-by-play if you’re not able to watch!
Kyle Schwarber Calls Out Dodgers Fans But Cubs Fans Leave Game 3 Early
Dodgers are completely dominating and Dodgers fans are loving it, as we should! Still, much respect to Javier Baez for having fun with Yasiel after tagging Yasiel out on second. The finger wagging and smiles on both of their faces indicate mutual respect and love for the game.
Schwarber, lighten up and learn from your teammate.
