Dodgers vs Twins: Latest Betting Odds, Predictions and Picks for August 9

The Dodgers have won 26 of their last 30 games heading into Tuesday’s series opener with the Twins. Los Angeles dominated the Padres at the plate and on the mound in their three game sweep, and they look to complete a dominant homestand with two games against Minnesota. Cody Bellinger and Max Muncy are both showing signs of life over the past week, making an already dangerous lineup even more potent.

The Dodgers will send Julio Urías to the mound today, looking to continue a really good stretch in which he’s gone 4-0 with a 1.04 ERA his last four starts. Urías has never faced the Twins in his career.

On the mound for the Twins will be Joe Ryan, their rookie Opening Day starter who sports a 3.67 ERA. Ryan has pitched well overall this season, but his three worst starts have come agains the Padres, Astros, and Mariners, which makes you wonder how much of his success is due to the AL Central being extremely weak.

Trayce Thompson is the only current Dodger who has ever faced Ryan, going 0-for-2 with a strikeout and a GIDP last September.
