Dodgers: Walker Buehler’s Interesting Response to Joc Pederson Homering Off of Him

Walker Buehler tossed another fantastic outing for the Dodgers on Tuesday night in Los Angeles. Just as he has done all year long, he gave the team the chance to win even when the offense did not come through early.

But aside from 2 minor blemishes, Buehler was lights out. He held the Braves to 2 runs across 7 innings of work and the Dodgers offense came alive late to seal the win. They also moved within a half-game of the Giants in the NL West.

But there was one moment in the game that Dodgers fans were talking about even after the game was over. Former teammate Joc Pederson took Buehler deep to right, and it was a classic Joc chop swing at a high fastball. Buehler was asked after the game if Joc said something to him after hitting it.

I know I’m going to get a text from him or whatever now. People aren’t supposed to hit that pitch that way. Joc certainly has some skills in doing things like that, that not many people can do. …He didn’t say anything, I think I’m glad that he didn’t.

Joc spent many years with the Dodgers and obviously still has a lot of friends here in Los Angeles. But after that towering drive, Buehler might not return his texts for a few days. He got the last laugh though as his team walked away with the win.

      1. maybe – it might mean Max Muncy plays 1st, unless his splits against this pitcher are poor or its his time for a game off. I think tio is primarily a pinch-hitter now.

        1. Dave Is a bad Manager. He needs to give Players like Pujols and Reks a chance, WHILE HE KEEPS PLAYING BELLINGER AND MCKINNEY FOR SOME STUPID REASON

          1. If he gave Pujols a chance, where would he play? First base? What about Muncy? Does he go to 2nd

          2. Yes I play Albert at 1st base and move Muncy to 2nd Base and Move Trea Turner to center over bellinger.

    1. yup means Taylor and Betts in the lineup. Our best lineup going with our best pitcher. this should yield a sweep! and a tie in the loss column with the gnats!!

As for Joc and Walker, let’s just say Joc knew he couldn’t do anything on the field to show up his old teammate. Walker may text him once he has a day or 2 to cool off!
