Joc Pederson is a Major League Baseball (MLB) player who is currently an outfielder for the San Fransico Giants. He was born on April 21, 1992 in Palo Alto, California, USA.

Pederson was originally drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the 11th round of the 2010 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the Dodgers in September 2014 and became a regular member of the team’s outfield the following season. During his time with the Dodgers, Pederson was known for his power hitting, as well as his ability to get on base and play solid defense.

Eventually settling into a platoon role, Pederson helped the Dodgers win seven consecutive NL West division crowns and ultimately capped off his career in blue by winning the World Series in 2020.

After the season, he signed a one year deal with the Chicago Cubs. He was traded to the Atlanta Braves at the 2021 trade deadline and helped Atlanta win its first World Series title since 1995. His clutch postseason hitting has earned him the nickname “Joctober.”

He’s earned two All-Star selections in his career and finished sixth in NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2014.
