Dodgers Win Behind Mookie Betts’ Big Night
The Dodger came into Tuesday night against the Nationals facing a familiar face. Walker Buehler got the ball and went up against Josiah Gray. Jojo was a part of the deal that sent Max Scherzer and Trea Turner out to Los Angeles in 2021.
But the Dodgers got to Gray very quickly. They scored 2 runs in the 1st inning after Turner went deep against his former team. The Nats followed that up with a 3-run inning in their turn at the plate.
But the Dodgers offense was relentless. They added 3 runs on the second inning when Mookie Betts took Gray deep with 3 runners on. That put them back in from and they never looked back.
Buehler would go on to pitch 5 more innings without giving up a run. He punched out just 3 batters, but he did work around traffic and give the Dodgers the innings they needed.

Offensively, the Dodgers tallied 9 runs just one night after scoring 10. Betts added a solo shot in the 4th inning, his 12th homerun of the year. He’s now hitting .292 after his big game on Tuesday night.
