Evan Phillips With Dodgers in Texas Hinting at Massive Roster Move
Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Evan Phillips is in Arlington with the team for their series against the Texas Rangers, indicating a roster move is coming soon.

The arrival of Phillips from Triple-A Oklahoma City comes as a surprise, given manager Dave Roberts said the right-hander would need one more rehab outing just yesterday.
Nevertheless, the Dodgers placed Blake Treinen on the injured list with forearm tightness Saturday morning. Hence, Phillips returned earlier than anticipated to replace Treinen in the bullpen.
Phillips sustained a right shoulder injury in the NL Championship Series and could not pitch in the World Series because of it. In 2024, the reliever produced a 3.62 ERA across 61 appearances for the Dodgers.
Manager Dave Roberts revealed Phillips was “antsy” to return, and will make his 2025 debut soon now that he was rejoined the Dodgers in Texas.
