Freddie Freeman’s Status Revealed for Dodgers vs Braves Series Finale
The Los Angeles Dodgers have revealed their lineup for Wednesday night’s series finale against the Atlanta Braves — and Freddie Freeman is still not in there.
Freeman missed the first two games of the series after slipping entering the shower and re-injuring his surgically repaired ankle.

The first baseman opened up about the freak accident on Tuesday.
“Halfway through my (Sunday) morning coffee, I was like, ‘Oh, I’ll just shower to get ready for the day,’” Freeman said. “And next thing you know, I’m down in the bathtub. It’s a great mental picture, if you guys want to think about it, big guy falling all over the place. … Freak accident, you can’t really make it up, crazy.
“But it was just one of those things. You slip in bathtub showers all the time. And when you’re healthy, you just catch yourself. And when you’re not, when you’ve got a little surgically repaired ankle, mostly I think it just flared everything kind of back up. I was a little sore. Sore on the inside still. But I’m feeling much better.”
Freeman said he was feeling better Tuesday, but the Dodgers have wanted to exercise caution with the reigning World Series MVP so early in the season.
The Dodgers have also proven to be just fine without Freeman, as they’re 7-0 on the season, and 4-0 in games in which Freeman isn’t in the lineup.

Freeman is someone who hates missing games, but as he recovers from his painful postseason that included a severely sprained ankle and broken rib cartilage, the Dodgers have been extra careful as he deals with additional flare-ups.

NOTICE TO DODGERS FRONT OFFICE: We have been writing for awhile that Max Muncy must be replaced. The Dodgers’ front office had an opportunity this off season to get Nolan Arenado, an 8 time All Star, and a 10 time Gold Glove winner. He would’ve tightened up their infield, as well as given them a proven hitter at 3rd base. Well, unfortunately, it didn’t happen. Instead they stuck with a player that is an obvious weak link in their lineup. Muncy has made two errors already in tonight’s game; three for thwe season. There really isn’t ANY position for him on the Dodgers team. He’s a Dodger because we can only assume he’s got Dave Roberts backing. But make no mistake, Muncy is DONE! Letting Arenado stay in St. Louis when he wanted to come to LA, was a HUGE mistake. Muncy stinks, period! The Dodgers have two glaring weaknesses; 3rd base and centerfield. Andy Pages is NOT the answer in center, and Max Muncy is an error and strikeout waiting to happen.
