James Outman Reacts to Dodgers Re-Signing Jason Heyward

The Los Angeles Dodgers made their first significant offseason signing on Monday when they re-signed veteran outfielder Jason Heyward on a one-year deal worth $9 million. Heyward had one heck of a resurgence with the Boys in Blue and earned a major league contract — and luckily for us, it happened to be with LA.

Dodger fans everywhere are delighted to have Heyward back in LA, including this teammate and fellow outfielder, James Outman. Outman couldn’t help sharing how he felt about the signing via his Instagram.

Outman and Heyward were a common fixture in the Dodgers lineup throughout 2023, and it’s clear that James is excited to have his fellow outfielder back.

Outman spoke in detail about the mentorship he got from Heyward over the course of his rookie season, and it’s clear that a lot of Outman’s success comes from the work he spent with the Dodgers’ veteran outfielder.

The second-year outfielder and Dodger fans are excited, and we cannot wait to see what else Heyward has in store for us come 2024.
