Japanese Baseball Team Already Repping Dodgers on Instagram
The Los Angeles Dodgers were already a global brand before acquiring the two biggest free agents this offseason. However, as we enter the 2024 season, they are even more prominent than ever.
The Dodgers will be just like The Beatles of baseball. Although the season hasn’t started, they are receiving that same treatment already.
Members of the Orix Buffaloes, the former team of Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto, are the latest to be seen repping gear from the Dodgers.
Yamamoto spent his first seven years in the Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), a part of the Orix Buffaloes.
In his time with the Buffaloes, Yamamoto established himself as one of the top pitchers, not only in Japan but also in the world. He earned the Japanese Triple Crown three years in a row, a five-time NPB All-Star, a three-time Pacific League MVP, a four-time Pacific League strikeout champion, a Japanese Series champion and a three-time Pacific League Golden Glove Award.
Yamamoto accomplished all he could in the second-best league in the world. Now, he will look to do the same in the major leagues with his entire country behind him.
Although the Dodgers have received a ton of hate this offseason, the love has been just as significant.
