Jason Heyward Reveals Thoughts on Returning to the Dodgers This Offseason
Although the Los Angeles Dodgers will have some new faces in 2024, some familiar faces will grace us with their presence.
One will enter his second year in Dodger Blue, outfielder Jason Heyward. Heyward caught up with us during Fan Fest and said it’s a privilege to be back in Dodger Blue.
We’re happy to have Heyward back in Los Angeles. He signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers in the 2022-2023 offseason, and no one knew what role he would play with the team.
Heyward ended up making the Opening Day roster, fixed his swing after a sluggish 2022 season and had himself his best season since 2020. He ended up being one of the more productive members of the 2023 Dodgers, making it an easy decision for the front office to re-sign him.
Heyward played in 124 games in 2023, batting .269 and a .813 OPS in 334 ABs with 15 home runs and 40 RBIs. He was undoubtedly one of the steals of the offseason.
Now, heading into the 2024 season with expectations, the fans will be counting on more from the former All-Star this season. The entire organization is excited about what he brings to the table, and he should be in store for another strong year.
