Kiké Hernández Takes Hilarious Shot at Fat Joe, New York at Dodgers World Series Parade

Kiké Hernández didn’t hold back when he had the mic at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ championship rally Friday. The Dodgers utility man made it clear the New York Yankees were doomed after the team had rapper Fat Joe perform on the field ahead of Game 3 of the World Series.

“This guy, used to be fat,” Hernández began. “He’s not fat anymore. His name is Joe. We didn’t need to play, because after that performance we had already won.”

Social media exploded with comparisons of Fat Joe’s performance and Los Angeles rapper Ice Cube’s performance. Fans felt the New York franchise panicked after watching Ice Cube delay Game 2 with an iconic performance at Dodger Stadium.

Two days later, Fat Joe did the same thing in the Bronx. However, Yankee fans weren’t as animated watching him. After the rapper’s performance at Yankee Stadium, social media immediately poked fun at his appearance since it didn’t quite coincide with his artist name, Fat Joe.

Hernández wasn’t the only person to also thank the rapper for essentially “cursing” the Yankees. Dodgers reliever Joe Kelly also spoke about the “Fat Joe curse.” According to Kelly, the rapper’s mediocre performance led to New York playing Yankee defense.

Dodgers fans also got in on the fun. At the World Series parade, fans held signs reading “Thank You Fat Joe.”

Hernández’s speech is being dubbed as the most humorous speech at Friday’s championship rally at Dodger Stadium to conclude the World Series parade. The utility man has had stellar performances on and off the field.

Hernández cemented himself as one of the best Dodgers in October and he also gave fans an unforgettable mantra following the Game 5 triumph over the San Diego Padres in the National League Division Series.

Fox’s Ken Rosenthal asked the utility man what was different about the 2024 Dodgers compared to teams of the past. Hernández had one of the most unforgettable replies.

“Are we live? It’s the fact that we don’t give a f–k,” Hernández said with a smile.

The Dodgers took down three of the best teams in baseball to be the final club standing at the end of October. Hernández ended his speech at the rally in iconic fashion.

“They not like us, baby,” he said.
