MLB News: Kenley Jansen Blows His First Save With Atlanta
Dodgers fans remember the tense moments when Kenley Jansen was at risk of blowing a save. And even though he was and is one of the best closers in MLB, fans gave him a very hard time. Now with the Braves, Kenley has gotten off to an incredible start.
Over his first 16 games, Kenley as struck out 22 batters in 16.2 innings of work. But that honeymoon period came to an end on Wednesday night against the Brewers, which included one of the weirdest moments of the MLB season so far.
With Jansen on the mound, a fan ran by him on the mound and appeared to wave or try to high-five him. Kenley did not appease him.

After a leadoff walk to Jace Peterson, Jansen allowed a triple off the bat of Kolten Wong. That resulted in Kenley’s first blown save of the season with the Braves. But if there is any positive, it’s that he is still among the top closers in MLB with 9 saves to his name.
