Mookie Betts Disses Past, Takes Dodgers Uniform Over Red Sox

Just in time for the Dodgers and Red Sox series this coming weekend, a pair of current Dodgers and former Boston stars got together to chat about a number of topics, including the 2020 World Series bubble and Clayton Kershaw’s farts. Mookie Betts welcomed Kiké Hernandez onto his “On Base” podcast with Bleacher Report this week and the two utility players caught up after being apart for the last several seasons.

With Hernandez returning to LA after two-plus season stint with Betts’ former Red Sox club, the fan favorites have even more in common to talk about these days. One question Mookie asked Kiké has introduced some divided responses online already.

Are the Dodgers uniforms better than the Red Sox?

Here’s the full exchange

Mookie: “On base or off base, the Dodgers uniforms are more classic than the Red Sox. “
Kiké: “I think that’s on base. I think the Dodger white is the best uniform in baseball.”
Mookie: “I think it’s the most classic uniform in baseball.”
Kiké: “I agree.”
Mookie: “I love putting it on. Not even just because it’s the Dodgers, it’s just the uniform is just dope.”
Kiké: “It’s a good fit. It’s hard for that uniform to not look good on somebody.”

Dodgers fans sounded off in comments and reposts online as did Red Sox Nation, but there seemed to be little argument on the facts. The classic white Dodgers uniform is far and away the cleanest in baseball.
