Noah Syndergaard Honors Dodgers Legend with New Profile Photo on Social Media

New Dodgers pitcher Noah Syndergaard is a man of taste and refinement. If you don’t believe me, check out his new Twitter profile pic.

Syndergaard never got to be a Dodger when Vin Scully was on the call, but he played against them so he still got to live out every young boy’s dream of having the greatest broadcaster in history say his name. Now, Thor wears the Dodger blue, and what better way to celebrate that than to honor the memory of the incomparable, inimitable Vin.

Syndergaard signed with Los Angeles this offseason after splitting last year between the Angels and the Phillies. He’s said his goal is to rediscover his triple-digit fastball, which he hasn’t had since returning from Tommy John surgery in 2021. If he can do that, he’ll be a bargain fifth starter at $13 million.

Thor spent his first six seasons with the Mets, making the All-Star team in 2016 — Vin’s last year — and looking like a future star. A series of injuries derailed that train, but he’s healthy now and hoping to be much closer to his earlier form than the guy who had a 3.94 ERA and 6.3 K/9 last year.

Scully, of course, spent 67 years in the broadcast booth for the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers before retiring after 2016. He passed away last year at the age of 93, and his absence is still felt among Dodger fans.

We like the profile pic, Noah. Now let’s dominate on the mound!
