Shohei Ohtani Spotted In Arizona Working Out at Dodgers’ Complex
Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani was spotted working out at the Dodgers’ Arizona complex on Monday, per Hochi News.
Just two days after Ohtani appeared at DodgerFest, he was back in Arizona for voluntary workouts ahead of the start of Spring Training.
At the complex, Ohtani was seen in the batting cage, where he hit from the tee and machine, just days before Dodgers pitchers and catchers have to report on Friday, Feb. 9. The first full-squad practice is Feb. 14.
Ohtani, the Dodgers’ 10-year, $700 million offseason addition, continues to put in the work to be able to return in time for the Dodgers opening game versus the San Diego Padres in South Korea on March 20. Speaking to reporters at Saturday’s DodgerFest, Ohtani revealed he’s “very confident” he’ll be ready to go for the first game of the regular season.
