The Dodgers Fan That Ran Onto Field for Proposal Speaks! Breaking Down the Moment

Dodgers fans got treated to a perfect win by their boys in blue on Thursday. It kicked off the season on the right track and was much needed after an offseason of change in LA. For one couple, however, it’s a day they’ll look back at as one that changed their lives.

Ricardo Juarez decided on opening day, it was time to propose to his long-time girlfriend Ramona. The problem is that no one knew leading up to that moment that he’d be jumping onto the field. Not Ramona, even Ricardo wasn’t 100% sure, and the Dodgers were definitely not in the loop on the plan.

Our Doug McKain broke down the moment here and chatted with the couple about the incident. The immediate takeaways:

Yes, Ricardo is still sore from the devastating tackle.
Yes, he had been drinking (the couple was part of a party bus to the ballpark).
Yes, he is banned from Dodger Stadium.

The ban is for one season, so all in all, the team was a little more lenient than they have been with past “fan on the field” incidents. At least she said yes, right?

  1. The message about trespassing during the game should be a top message. Not some drunk guy proposing to his girlfriend.
