The Dodgers Survive Coors Field and Zach McKinstry is a DUDE | Blue Heaven Podcast
Mercifully, the Dodgers survived Colorado (mostly) with a winning record. The boys in blue took 3 of 4 from the Rockies but unfortunately lost Tony Gonsolin to a shoulder issue before he even made his season debut.
We discuss the positives and many negatives of opening the season in the mile-high city. Of course, among the positives, the bats came out on fire scoring 26 runs over 4 games. On the other hand, the LA pitching staff allowed 21 runs in those games.

In another contrasting positive/negative situation, Zach McKinstry has looked like a big leaguer over the season’s first 4 (and now 5) games. After Monday night’s action — note, we recorded this before the game) — the rookie owns a .545 batting average (6-11) and has looked solid on defense. Meanwhile, AJ Pollock has struggled out of the gate this season, leading the guys to wonder if Dave Roberts needs to consider a true platoon in left field.
Finally, we lightly preview the series in Oakland before devolving to the Astros being cheaters and Carlos Correa being a dirty player. Plus thoughts on Yadier Molina of the Cardinals always being in the middle of baseball fights.
