VIDEO: Hyun-Jin Ryu Hits An RBI Double In Fifth Inning Vs. Indians
Hyun-Jin Ryu surrendered a two-run home run in the fourth inning of Wednesday’s game, which allowed the Cleveland Indians to take a lead.
With the Los Angeles Dodgers still trailing by two, Miguel Rojas hit a one-out single in the bottom half of the same inning he made a diving catch that prevented a run from scoring. That brought Ryu to plate, who singled in the third inning as the Dodgers struggled to generate any offense.
With two outs, Ryu turned on a 1-0 fastball from Indians starter Trevor Bauer and lined it over the head of Indians third baseman Lonnie Chisenhall. Rojas scored on the play and Ryu cruised into second base for an RBI double.
Dee Gordon and A.J. Ellis both walked to load the bases and Andre Ethier pushed the Dodgers ahead with an RBI single to center and the Dodgers lead 3-2 at the end of the fifth inning.
