Dodgers 2022 Highlights: Mookie Betts Is Good… Really Good
The Dodgers’ 2022 regular season was special. L.A. won a franchise record 111 wins, and they looked like the greatest team ever assembled for most of the season. We all know how the season ended, but besides that, 2022 was incredible to witness.
2022 was one for the books, and one of the main reasons for that was superstar Mookie Betts. Betts had his best season as a Dodger and couldn’t do anything wrong. Don’t believe me; take a look at his highlight clip from 2022, and you be the judge.
As you can see, Betts did it all last season. He didn’t hit his first home run until April 22, 2022, the 13th game of the season, and somehow, he ended up with a career-high 35 home runs.
The 29-year-old was just as good on the field; he played the majority of his time in right field, covering as much ground as anyone can with a fielding percentage of 99.4%.
Mookie was just as fantastic in second base; he spent seven games there and made highlight plays while having a fielding percentage of 1.000%. The Boston Red Sox originally drafted the six-time All-Star as a shortstop.
Overall, Betts had a 6.4 WAR, 154 hits, a .269 batting average, 117 runs, and 82 RBIs as the leadoff hitter for L.A.
Let’s hope for an even better year from the former MVP.
