Dodgers Announce the Passing of Vin Scully’s Wife Sandra

We came into 2021 with high hopes and expectations following a truly terrible 2020. Although we did get a Dodgers World Series, 2020 continued to throw punches at everyone, making life very difficult for so many.

Unfortunately, we can’t say that 2021 has been any better. The Dodgers announced today that Vin Scully’s wife Sandra has passed away after a lengthy battle with ALS. Sandra was just 76 years old when she passed on Sunday.

Dodgers legendary broadcaster Vin Scully married Sandra back in the fall of 1973. She was the mother of 6 children, 21 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. The team also announced that donations can be made to the Department of Neuromuscular Disease as UCLA/ALS Research in Sandra Scully’s name for those wishing to honor Sandra. The Scully family has requested privacy at this time as they grieve the loss of a beloved member.

We at Dodgers Nation would like to pass on our sincerest condolences to Vin and the entire Scully family. Vin spoke so often about his love and adoration for his wife, and learning the news today has been extremely difficult for so many. We love you, Vin. We love you, Sandra.
