Dodgers: Cody Bellinger Doesn’t Hold Back Affection Towards Hanser Alberto
Nothing like some good ‘ole brotherly love in a clubhouse to boost team morale. In a night where the Dodgers dominated with a 10-1 victory against the Rockies, the Dodgers once again unleashed Hanser Alberto in the ninth inning for closer duties.
Alberto inevitably gave up an earned run off a sac fly, but the story of the night belongs to Cody Bellinger who finished with two hits and three RBI’s, including a three run home run. A welcome sign for Bellinger as the Dodgers still look to tighten up some postseason rotations.
Bellinger was clicking on all cylinders, but he still took a moment to appreciate the kind of teammate Alberto is.
Cody Bellinger on Hanser Alberto:
"He's the best teammate in the world. He goes out there and shoves every single time. I feel really confident when he's out there on the mound." @kirsten_watson #Dodgers

This isn’t the first time Alberto has been mentioned in a positive light by his teammates and it surely won’t be the last. With Alberto’s 10th game pitched last night, Alberto continues to dominate and add to his record of most games pitched by a non-pitcher in MLB history.

The stats may not show exactly the impact Alberto has on his team, batting a .230 on the season with two home runs and 15 RBI’s, but what matters is the team chemistry being built among the team. The Dodgers officially enter the most crucial part of the season and anything that will help get the upper advantage will be used, and Alberto can be that answer.
