Dodgers: Dave Roberts Concerned About Walker Buehler’s Elbow Troubles
Things already weren’t going well for Walker Buehler this season. The Dodgers ace had been on a run of tough luck and bad pitch execution, resulting in a lot of runs over his last 6 starts. He just hasn’t looked like the guy fans in Los Angeles have been used to over the years.
But when he was removed from the game after just 70 pitches, the assumption was immediate that something was wrong. The Dodgers would later announce that he had left the game with discomfort in his throwing elbow.
And that’s a reason to be very concerned. Buehler underwent Tommy John surgery before he even got to the big leagues, and the Dodgers still took the gamble on drafting him early. After the loss, Dave Roberts expressed some concern over the fact that it was his throwing arm that was injured.
Gonsolin: Probably. Anderson: Maybe. Their next starts will decide.
