Dodgers: Getting To Know Julio Urias Over A Cup Of Coffee
This past season, Julio Urias became the pitcher the Dodgers organization long believed he would. In his first full season as a starter, El Culichi became the first Dodgers starting pitcher to win 20 games in a season since teammate Clayton Kershaw did it in 2014. He also established new personal bests in starts (32), innings pitched (185.2), and strikeouts (195).
In now 6 years with big league time with LA, he’s compiled a nice list of big moments and many professional milestones being reached by the young left-hander. With that in mind, there’s also a whole lot we don’t know about Julio the person.
Before the end of the regular season, the Dodgers decided to feature him in their getting to know the players series. “Coffee With Julio” gives fans a bit more insight into his interests such as his favorite foods, music, inspirations, and more.

A few of Julio’s teammates, Mookie Betts, Trea Turner, and Brusdar Graterol have also been featured in this series and are just as delightful.

I loved his t-shirt! (It’s been a long time since I studied Spanish, but I understood a lot of what he said.)
