Player of the Day – Joc Pederson
While Pederson’s temper was being questioned on Twitter early in the day, Pederson was letting his bat do the talking during the game. The 22-year-old slugger belted his 10th and 11th home runs of the young season on Saturday, placing him second in the Pacific Coast League. His 1.161 OPS still leads the circuit and he’s added 10 stolen bases, tying him for second in the league. Pederson’s second home run came against a lefty and he’s now OPSing .792 against them. With all of his production and talent, patience is key going forward, as the Dodgers figure out how to make room for him or if he’ll be their most valuable trade asset.
