Player of the Day – Joc Pederson
Pederson began his appearance in the Triple-A All Star Game just like Yasiel Puig, striking out twice. In his third at-bat, he worked a 3-1 count and then launched a home run into right field.
Pederson then walked in his fourth plate appearance, completing the three true outcome trifecta. There’s some belief that he’s ready to join the Dodgers, thus filling the Grand Canyon sized hole in center field. However, a six-man problem in the outfield will be even more frustrating than the current five-man dilemma.
