Dodgers: Mookie Betts Has Some Fun With Former Boston Teammate Brock Holt
Dodgers fans were very pleased to see Mookie Betts have a good day at the plate on Sunday. He singled and drew a walk, but he also lifted a homerun into the right-field corner, just his 7th longball of the year.
But the best part of that homerun arguably came as Betts was rounding the bases. The Dodgers outfielder jogged past former Red Sox teammate with a big smile on his face and even gave him a little tap on the chest.
Brock wasn’t about to give him the satisfaction of cracking a smile.

Betts and Holt played together in Boston from 2014 all the way through 2019. And even though he’s with the Dodgers now, baseball will always be a little more fun with your buddies on the field.
It was just some fun. Me and Brock played together for 6 plus years and so I consider him one of my best friends. It’s always a lot of laughs and jokes when we’re on the field together.

Baseball is supposed to be fun, and it’s always good to see Mookie enjoying it. If the Dodgers are going to repeat as World Series champions in 2021, they’re going to need him to have a whole lot of fun.

If I was Brock I would also give you the cold shoulder….don’t rub it in after you hit a dinger. I know you have a lot of friends but you can do all your fraternizing before game. Once the game starts concentrate entirely on the game for your team. You can have your fun but focus it w/ your own teammates. Don’t be somebody else you’re not.
