Dodgers News: Brusdar Graterol Activated, Ryan Pepiot Optioned

The Dodgers and Brewers are set to start a 3-game series tonight in Los Angeles. Julio Urias will get the ball for them after tossing 5 shutout innings against Milwaukee last week. He faced off against Eric Lauer, who bounced back in a big way in his 7-inning outing against Los Angeles last week.

But before the game tonight, the Dodgers made a roster move. They activated Brusdar Graterol off of the 15-day injured list this afternoon, and he will be available to pitch out of the bullpen. He was originally placed on the IL with shoulder inflammation on July 11th, the day after he threw 2 innings against the Cubs.

To make room for him on the roster, the Dodgers optioned RHP Ryan Pepiot to Triple-A OKC. He just pitched 6 innings on Sunday afternoon and earned his second win of the season. He also had to outduel NL Cy Young candidate Sandy Alcantara to get there.

Graterol will be a welcome sight in the Dodgers bullpen. They should also be getting Blake Treinen back in the coming weeks as well, as he also continues to work his way back from a should issue. With both of those guys back, the relief team gets a really big boost. https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/40965/brusdar-graterol?
