Dodgers News: Dave Roberts Might Shut Down Julio Urias After Next Two Starts
The Los Angeles Dodgers will start pitcher Julio Urias on the mound on Friday as they look to even the series vs. the Milwaukee Brewers. The Dodgers dropped the series opener on Thursday losing 6-8 at home.
Hoping to bounce back, the teenager will get his second start on the mound at Dodger Stadium following three road starts in Chicago, New York and San Francisco. After his solid performance in the bay area manager Dave Roberts committed to starting Urias two more times. His starts will come at home against the Brewers on Friday and against the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.

However, it seems after that Roberts is unclear about when his next start will be.
Julio Urías will make two more starts for the Dodgers, then "we'll go from there." Innings limit approaching, Dave Roberts said.

From Bill Shaikin, L.A. Times writer:
Urias threw 80 innings last season. He has thrown 58 this season between the major leagues and triple-A; it is unlikely the Dodgers would want him to throw another 58.
Brandon McCarthy pitched three innings in a minor league rehabilitation appearance Thursday night and Hyun-Jin Ryu is scheduled for four innings Friday. Either could be a candidate to replace Urias in the rotation, as could Frankie Montas, who has a 2.25 earned-run average in seven minor league appearances, with three walks and 22 strikeouts in 16 innings.

Urias options are limited as Roberts doesn’t see the 19-year-old going from a starter to the bullpen.
Dodgers bullpen unlikely for Urias, Roberts said.

The Dodgers began their 7-game home stand and look to gain much needed ground in the NL West. The Dodgers are currently 6.5 game back from first place, which is being held by the San Francisco Giants.
