Dodgers News: Dodgers Set to Take on San Diego in NLDS; Padres Eliminate Mets in Wild Card Series

We’re officially set for game one of the NLDS on Tuesday. Your Los Angeles Dodgers will face division rivals San Diego Padres for the second time in three seasons in the postseason. San Diego managed to take two out of three vs. the New York Mets in Citi Field.

Padres took game one of the series in surprising fashion, 7-1, and all runs were by home runs. The Mets bounced back after a huge seventh inning in game two to tie the series at 1-1. And tonight, San Diego completely dominated with their righty Joe Musgrove who went seven innings and only allowed one hit sending the Mets and their fans packing this fall.

The Dodgers-Padres series is going to be the most electric series in the entire division series. These two teams’ fanbases do not like each other, and the Padre players have more animosity toward Dodger players than the other way around. It’s personal for San Diego, so it’ll be interesting to see how they handle themselves.

The Dodgers are constant professionals who will be ready no matter who is in front of them, and that’s the approach I’ll expect come game one.

The Dodgers dominated San Diego in the regular season. LA took 14 of 19 from San Diego and has been spectacular against their neighbors down south. None of that matters, as the Dodgers will try to win three games in the DS and advance to the LCS for the third year in a row.

Dodgers Manager Dave Roberts has not decided on a game one starter, but we know it will be between aces Julio Urias or Clayton Kershaw. You cannot go wrong with either one of these studs, so it’ll be interesting to see who Roberts goes with in game one.

I know our Boys in Blue will be ready, and I’m excited about another deep postseason run that hopefully lasts until early November.

Game one will be on FS1. The first pitch is set for 6:37 PM PT.

Let’s Go, Dodgers!
