Dodgers News: Fandom Spreads Far and Wide for The Boys in Blue

The Dodgers are one of the most famous and illustrious sports brands. Their fan base spreads far and wide, and we’ve seen that at full display whenever the Boys in Blue are on the road. From coast to coast, the Dodgers fill opposing teams’ stadiums, and it’s to no one surprise as they are one of the most storied franchises in the league.

Los Angeles Times columnist Bill Shaikin tweeted a graphic for the “Top Selling MLB Team Gear,” and the Dodgers dominated the west coast, excluding the state of Washington, home of the Seattle Mariners.

However, there are a couple of other states that might surprise you.

The Dodgers control seven of the 50 states, but the New York Yankees dominate in MLB gear. Yankees lead the way with 22 states, as they are a global brand similar to the Dodgers. The Atlanta Braves and Boston Red Sox are tied at three as the Braves got the states of Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama. Red Sox controls the northeast with the states of Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.

The Dodgers and Yankees are the top two most popular baseball clubs with rich histories and generations of fans.

Shoutout to the Dodger fans in North Dakota and Arkansas for representing with pride and showing your fandom from afar.
