Dodgers News: Gavin Lux Confirms He Will Be Ready to Go for Start of 2024 Season

The Dodgers will be entering the 2024 season with high expectations placed on them after the strong offseason the front office has put together. Los Angeles committed over $1 billion to multiple free agents this winter, putting them in a much better position to win the World Series.

One of their key players will be coming back from injury this season, infielder Gavin Lux. Lux is expected to take on the everyday shortstop role for Los Angeles after missing the entire 2023 season.

He tore his ACL during Spring Training last season but has made nice progress in his rehab process. During DodgerFest, Lux provided an update on his status for the 2024 season. He confirmed that he will indeed be ready to go when the games begin in Korea.

Lux last played in 2022, showing massive promise in his abilities. The former top prospect for the Dodgers gave the team hope for his development.

He improved his bat skills and added speed to his game, helping him on the basepaths. Lux slashed .276/.346/.745 over 129 games with six home runs and 42 runs batted in.

Getting Lux back will help the Dodgers solidify their infield, and he provides them with a strong bat in the lineup. The team is excited to see what Lux can do over an entire season, and they are confident in his abilities going forward.

With all of the star power on the roster, Lux will need to just be himself throughout the season. He will be expected to produce but doesn’t need to be a main contributor on offense.

If he can show out to the best of his abilities, it will be a massive win for the Dodgers this season.
