Dodgers News: Joc Pederson Placed on Disabled List
The Dodgers said they didn’t anticipate Joc Pederson hitting the DL. The Dodgers were either playing coy or miscalculated.
Pederson has been placed on the 7-day DL for a concussion. Kenta Maeda has filled his roster spot and starts Thursday against St. Louis.
Today, the #Dodgers reinstated Kenta Maeda from the 10-day DL and placed Joc Pederson on the 7-day DL for concussion (retroactive to 5/24).

Joc Pederson says he's supposed to stay away from his phone, not watch TV and not play video games. He said he doesn't feel like himself.

Pederson had a violent collision with Yasiel Puig in the 10th inning of Tuesday’s win. Dave Roberts said Pederson would be sidelined a few days, but the DL wasn’t likely.

With Maeda returning, it makes sense to place Pederson on the DL and save an active spot. It’s also possible the team wanted to be extra careful with him.
