Dodgers News: RHP Ryan Pepiot Will Start Tonight in LA
The Dodgers are currently in the middle of playing 25 games in just 26 games leading up to the All-Star break. With the starting staff under enough pressure as it is, and the relief team overworked, it would make sense that they would want to fill in some starts. It looks like that’s happening tonight in Los Angeles.
The Dodgers announced today that Ryan Pepiot will be getting the start tonight. This will be Pepiot’s third big league start after throwing 4.1 innings against the Diamondbacks on April 27th. He has been pitching at Triple-A Oklahoma City ever since then.

The Dodgers originally had Mitch White scheduled to start tonight. He has been a pretty good alternative option with starters out, pitching to a combined 3.38 ERA in the month of June and helping them fill in the gaps.
Other Dodgers News
At least one MLB writer thinks that Clayton Kershaw not only should be in the All-Star Game this year but that he should be starting. It would be fitting, given that the Dodgers are hosting and he has never started a Mid-Summer Classic before. But do the number of innings under his belt currently warrant the nod?
